England’s Spin Duo Hit by Delays

USA Squad Faces Similar Hurdles
The issue is not limited to England. The United States team, which is set to open the tournament against hosts India in Mumbai, is facing similar challenges.
Earlier this week, USA pacer Ali Khan sparked a social media firestorm by suggesting his visa had been “denied.” However, USA Cricket officials later clarified that the visas for Khan and teammates Shayan Jahangir, Mohammad Mohsin, and Ehsan Adil have been delayed, not denied.
The four players, all of whom were born in Pakistan and are now U.S. citizens, are currently in Sri Lanka for a training camp while their applications undergo “standard administrative review.”
Why the Delays?
The root of the issue lies in India’s strict visa protocols for individuals of Pakistani origin. Under current regulations:
